Been There for Self Care: IV Drip

April 22, 2021 Jenna Valentine
IV Vitamin Drip

IV Vitamin Drip

I think IV drips are so cool because you can get a ton of vitamins, minerals and nutrients without relying on your digestive system. It just feels so darn efficient. This efficiency combined with an awesome atmosphere and fantastic humans is why I love MSW Vitamin Lounge so much. The owners have created a true wellness space with an unpretentious and casual vibe that is based on holistic health. There are always interesting people to meet there and their ‘lunch and learns’ feature awesome topics.

The way it works is super simple: you book your appointment online or over the phone, wear whatever you want that leaves your inner elbow exposed for IV needle insertion, and consider bringing a book to read as the drip can take 30ish minutes depending on how greedy your body is feeling.

There are comfy couches, the IV needle is flexible so you don’t feel like your arm is stuck in one position, and the whole atmosphere is like you’re in a super healthy friend’s really clean living room doing health things together.

You choose the IV you’re feeling or let the dealer choose and then get comfy, get the IV inserted and chill. Once the IV drop bag is empty they remove all the things, put a little gauze on your arm and you’re off to rock the rest of your day.

Sometimes there can be a weird taste in your mouth if you’re getting a fair amount of B12, sometimes your pee will be electric yellow or smellier after a B complex (usually B2 is the culprit if I remember correctly), sometimes there can be a bit of really minor stinging at the insertion site if there is high dosed vitamin C, but there than that this is simple, awesome and a sweet way to treat your body.

I highly recommend this place and plan to be back.

GO THERE FOR SELF CARE!

Jenna
